Who we are
This website is run by Dinura Sonal, trading as Ceylon Circuit, based in the UK. We decide how the details you send us are used. For anything about your data, email hello@ceyloncircuit.com.
What we collect
- Forms. When you send a "Design My Journey" or "Get a quote" form, we receive what you type: your name, email, travel dates, group size, hotel level, where you're flying from, interests and places you'd like to visit, the tour you picked, and your message. If you arrived from a tagged link (for example from Instagram), we also receive that link's source tag.
- Technical data. Like any website, our host records your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Analytics, only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner: which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked, along with your IP address and browser/device identifiers. We don't send your name, email or phone number to analytics.
- WhatsApp or phone. If you message or call us, we see your number and what you send.
Why, and on what basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. You asked us to, so we use your details to take steps before a possible booking.
- To understand how the site is used, with Google Analytics, only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
- To run the site securely (technical data): our legitimate interest in keeping the website working and protected from abuse.
We don't send marketing emails and we never sell your details.
Who receives it
- Vercel (USA) hosts this website and processes the forms.
- Resend (USA) delivers the form to our inbox by email.
- Namecheap Private Email stores our hello@ceyloncircuit.com mailbox.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there.
- Google Analytics (Google), only if you accept cookies.
Some of these companies store data outside the UK, including in the USA. Transfers are protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and browser storage
Your cookie choice is saved in your browser so we don't ask again for 12 months. A link's source tag is kept only for your current visit. Analytics cookies (from Google) are set only after you accept. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quote emails: deleted within 24 months of our last contact, unless you book with us.
- If you book: kept as long as needed to run your trip and meet legal and accounting obligations.
- Analytics data: kept by Google for 2 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, ask us to stop or limit using them, ask for a copy to take elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@ceyloncircuit.com and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK regulator, or, if you live in the EU, your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
