Southern Swells

Beach + Surf 9 Days · 8 Nights Colombo → Weligama → Mirissa → Tangalle → Arugam Bay Private

Sri Lanka has two coastlines and two surf seasons — which means there's almost always a wave breaking somewhere on the island. This nine-day loop starts on the southwest coast's legendary beginner bay at Weligama, drifts east along the sleepy south coast past Mirissa and Tangalle, and ends at Arugam Bay — arguably South Asia's finest surf point.

Long lunches under casuarinas. Stilt fishermen at dawn. Whale season in the channel between December and April. The south coast at its unhurried best.
